Sales tax (VAT)
A lot of current knowledge is involved in calculating the sales tax (VAT) to be paid or to be claimed. Our tax advisors keep abreast of the latest changes through further training, following courses, and reading professional literature.
International transactions
When supplying goods or services to customers abroad, different regulations apply than these activities take place solely in the Netherlands. Usually, no VAT is charged for deliveries to other businesses in another EU country. Possibly there are extra administrative obligations and that there are additional requirements for the invoice. These international transactions may also need to be reported to the tax authorities. This is done through a separate form, namely the ICP declaration. Other regulations also apply when purchasing goods and services from abroad.
Tax authorities audit
The Tax and Customs Administration may want to check the administration. In principle, this is done at random. Entrepreneurs often dread a tax audit, or due diligence, because the conclusions of the Tax and Customs Administration may have financial consequences. Proper preparation of a tax audit provides the necessary peace of mind. The tax authorities always send an announcement for an audit. We can help you with this and we can also be present during an inspection to speak to the tax inspectors.
